The Anniversary Dance is an amazing way to recognize all the married couples at your wedding reception!
How To Do The Anniversary Dance
Starting with the newlyweds and working the way up. The couples are dismissed by increments of less than 5 years. Couples who have been married less than 5 years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years… and so on. When the longest married couple is left alone on the dance floor, they are asked to then offer the bride and groom some advice for their marriage. Then, something is played like “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”, “Carrying My Love With You”, or “All My Life” or whatever you would like. The bride and groom are then invited to dance with the longest married couple, about half way through the song everyone is invited to join in.
After the dance floor clears out. The last couple will remain standing to a round of applause. That’s when the interview process of them both happens! Asking them “What advice would you give the bride & groom as to how you did it for these 40 + years?”. The responses almost always bring a laugh, and then more applause! This is the perfect crowd interaction for your wedding reception!
You’ll be able to pick your songs of choice on the planning form.
You have the option of choosing two songs, but one song that is special to you will do. DJ One Tyme will handle the rest! A perfect show to bring all the couples together for a nice slow dance, IF you know there will be some married couples present!
This also a great way to fill your dance floor and start the party for the night!
